Every day a new Hoot & Fox Daily appears, generated from the date, so everyone solves the same grid, here and in the iPhone app. It's a Binairo puzzle, also called Takuzu, from the same family as LinkedIn's Tango. Place owls and foxes so each row and column holds the same number of each, with never three alike in a row. Cells joined by = match; cells joined by × differ.
Each Daily has exactly one solution and can be solved by logic alone, so if you feel stuck there's a deduction waiting. Start by scanning for bookends and gap fills, then count. Ask Pip for a hint if you need one: the first press highlights the line, the second explains the technique, the third places the cell.
